Person-centred counselling

Our methods are based in Person-centred counselling which is a therapeutic approach developed by Carl Rogers that emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It fosters a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts and emotions. This approach trusts individuals' capacity for self-awareness and growth, promoting personal development and self-acceptance.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy

We utilize techniques from the Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) approach which is a future-oriented counselling approach that emphasizes identifying and amplifying a client's strengths and resources to achieve specific solutions. Rather than focusing on problems or past issues, it encourages clients to envision their desired future and develop practical steps to move toward it, fostering quick, positive change.

Hakomi Therapy

We incorporate the principles of Hakomi Experiential Somatic Psychotherapy into our therapy, a mindfulness-centred approach that explores how unconscious beliefs and past experiences influence your present behaviours and emotions. We provide safe, gentle, mind/body connection, mindfulness, loving presence, utmost respect and create a deep sense of safety, feeling heard and understood just as you are. We aim to promote self-awareness, nourishment, and mind-body integration.

Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy

We may also incorporate Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) therapeutic strategies. With EFIT techniques we focus on exploring and addressing your underlying emotions to promote healing and personal growth. We emphasize creating a safe therapeutic environment where you can explore your emotions, enhance self-awareness, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
